Mission: To help unite and equip the Body of Christ with food, resources, and training necessary to transform our communities and the lives of those in poverty and need through the love and saving grace of Jesus Christ.
All families children and individuals needs are assessed at registration. Referrals are provided for local, state and other outside resources. Clients are given immediate emergency food and other resources while waiting to be matched with a volunteer mentor.
Ongoing tracking and support is given to clients through HCDBM and the outreach partner.
Twice a month, canned food, bread, deserts, non-perishables and produce are delivered to the homes of families and individuals in need by family mentors from our Church Outreach Partners.
Clothing/Furniture and Household Items: families are provided with specific needs.
HILL COUNTRY BABY & SILVER CROWN
Babies, toddlers, elderly and disabled individuals are provided with diapers, Depends and wipes so as to alleviate health hazards caused by lack of resources.
Children receive beautiful basket filled with goodies and learn about Jesus’ love for them.
KINGDOM KIDS BOOK CLUB
Children receive throughout the year age appropriate bible and books to help them have comfort and strength.
THE THANKSGIVING BOX
A complete Thanksgiving dinner delivered to families by their Family Mentor volunteer.
CHRISTMAS TOY PROJECT
Through sponsorships, parents are supplied with Christmas gifts to give to their children.
Christian Assistance Ministry (C.A.M.) was founded in 1987 by eight local churches with the purpose of centralizing the help given to Kerr County residents and provide food, clothing and assistance with utilities and prescription medicine.
CAM has no paid employees and we own our own building. With no debt and no payroll we are able to use 96 cents of every dollar for the benefit of our clients.
CAM is located at 521 Barnett Street in Kerrville. Our hours of operation are Monday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday from 2 pm. to 4 p.m.

Considering the option of placing your child for adoption? We have homes to refer you to that will provide a place for you to live, aid in developing your education, give you free counseling and encourage your participation in the adoption arrangements,
If pregnancy necessitates changing your current housing arrangements, we provide choices for you to turn a new page in your life.
No matter how many times you’ve been through it before, our Labor & Delivery Classes will make it easier. We offer a three part class designed to cover what will surely happen, as well as what might possibly happen.
At the Center you can take classes that will help you to be better prepared the day your baby is born. We offer classes such as “Bathing and Diapering” , “Feeding (breast or bottle)” and “Baby Calming” to name a few.
